Hello everybody! I just bought the book today on drivethrurpg.com, and when I paid I didn't receive any mail in order to register myself. They say that those who are registered will receive the updated pdf when it gets there. How did you make it? Thanks a lot for your help. Greetings from Spain!!

Hi and welcome to the boards! I'm not the creator of the game, so I can't answer your questions about the updated version. What I can tell you is that the updated version is not yet available. We are all waiting for it, but at the same time I (I can only speak for myself) want the author to take the time to do it right.

Anyway, just wanted to welcome you to the sk community.

Hello and welcome! Canary Islands, wow, I'd love to visit there some time.

Hm, did you buy it at DriveThruRpg or RPGNow? If so, then they should have sent you an email that says something like, "Email this special phrase ********** to frank at spellboundkingdoms dot com and you'll be registered." But if you didn't get it, no problem. Just send me your email address and I will add you to the list. I believe you. :)

The updated version is getting closer. I finished the organization chapter, so now I am working over the fluff. Also, I forgot to include the equipment chapter on my list, so I had to add that.

In the updated version, just about everything received an update of some sort. The game is still the same, but it's just a lot more streamlined. For example, one of the biggest disappointments I had in the August 09 release was that NPCs took too long to create. Not very long by some standards, but too long for my tastes. Now I can create a level 10 NPC in about 5 minutes, and a level 20 NPC in about 15 minutes (and most of that time is taken up by thinking of cool Inspirations, Reputations, and Histories).

Hope you are enjoying the game!

Oh, and the layout. There are fewer pictures, but all the good ones are still there. And the layout is just less amateur in general (although it's still amateur, since it's me doing it). It's black-on-white for easier reading, no grey background.

I too, am looking forward to the updated pdf. I purchased my copy either from DriveThruRPG or RPGNow, but I cannot find my "receipt". My copy is "watermarked" with my name and an order number though. Will that be a problem for receiving the updated version? How would I get on the list, if I cannot find the order under "My Account" at either one of those places?

Thanks in advance. And thank you for the upcoming white background. I printed my original version out, and man did it use a lot of ink!

*Edit* -- when I searched for Spellbound Kingdoms on DriveThruRPG, it told me I already purchased it, so I guess I will be okay.

Hi everyone!,
first of all, thanks for the welcome to forums. I hope I'll enjoy with this game and reading the forum :).

Thanks again YcoreRixle for believe me :), DriveThruRpg doesn't send me the phrase :(. I'll send you today or tomorrow an email to your email address. I'm happy with the news of the new version of the game :).

Sorry for my poor english and my very small post :(

FWIW, I saw the "password" on the website just after checkout, rather than in an email. I barely even noticed it at the time.

However, I believe there's a way to update the PDF somehow on dtrpg/rpgnow, as I think I've seen updates about products I've ordered. Not 100% sure on that, though.

No need to be sorry for a short post, Dragon! Glad to have you around. Send me that email and I will put you on the list.

Steven, the best thing to do is just send me an email at frank at this domain, and then I will remember to check and make sure you're on the list. If you're not, I'll add you.

Back to work...
