Don't worry, I will not have time to read SK in the next few days, so I should stop "flooding" the forum for the near future.

-isn't Death Spell awfully powerful? It requires only 3 actions to cast (through Pillar of Ash) and with a Mood point on the attack roll it is almost impossible to defend against. A starting character can't even have Body+Mood of 10! The only parade I can see is using rebalancing/recasting maneuvers on the first (not likely) or second turn.

-The magic Glosses refers to a Masque of Silence spell which should be replaced by Masque of Dust or added to the Spell style chart. In fact, I could not help but notice that no close spell will silence someone. That would certainly be useful in a social situation though!

-Rapture of Ash says "+2 die size next attack", but to what? attack, defense, magical defense?

-Sign of silence says next attack, not next turn so, for instance, if I go next to Rapture of Silence and then Masque of dust, the latter will force a recast?

-Dustform and Limbs of Dust apparently do not prevent you from holding your equipment.

-how does one decide on the frequency limit, once per scene or day, on Dustform? or on high spells also?

-does Feign Death stop the progress of poisons, diseases, age..? Can you make it long lasting as a bound spell? I would allow it actually.

-suggestion for a freeform close spell: Dusting you cover the target in dust. It can make an object look unused; help hide a creature by muting to grey his colored clothes, and reflecting armor and sword; or ruin the props of your enemy in a social fight.

-is it me or the idea of using repeatedly a high spell such as raise undead sound awfully dangerous? A "large region" is vague but ominous with respect to spellbound.

And to finish, an independent question: do maneuvers which grant bonus damage to the next attack, apply to mood and characteristics damage? For instance, Dodge into shadows into Stunning secret in Dagger and Wine

Yes, Death spell is powerful but it takes 6 moves to get there. Ahhh, I see what you mean. No you cannot move from pillar of ash to Death spell because you move across a gap. You cannot cross gaps. Also you cannot kill a PC/NPC with a suitable inspiration 'they get better'.

There is no silence spell but there are command type spells such as in Language of Stars.

+2 to die size attack is just that the attack die size is increased by two. So a d6 becomes a d10.

Sign of silence: yes as you describe Masque of dust would force recast.

Limbs of dust: Yeah I am not sure either

I just make frequency make sense to the story.

I would make feign death long lasting if wanted too.

Yes magic can be dangerous, particularly high spells. Regions have a spellbound rating in the Claw section.

Your last question, I am not sure but I think I read somewhere that it did. I will take a look.
