A few exploding dice questions: 1. Say you're defending with a d4 against a d6. Your opponent rolls a 5 with his attack. For defense, you roll a 4, it explodes, and your d6 is a five. In this case, you'd reroll. The defender rolls a new d4 roll against a new d6 roll, and not d6 vs d6, correct? 2. What happens if you tie after an inspiration? Which die size do you use for the reroll, the original die or your inspiration die? RP-wise, the latter makes sense, but I'm really not sure. 3. Can a d20 explode? It's a rare situation where you'd actually NEED it to, but does it have some "add a d4 to it" type of rule if two people tied with nat20s? Or at that point is it just a reroll?

I think a general rule should be that whenever a reroll is called for, you use the die that caused the reroll... regardless of whether or not it is an Inspiration, Mood or Exploding Die.
As for the d20 exploding... I think just rerolling would be fine. Its quick and simple and produces a similar effect to rolling another die and adding it to 20.
That said, Mr. Brunner will have to confirm all of this... I think these observations of yours should be noted in the revised pdf for clarity purposes. =)
