Progress continues on the game. Some random things in no particular order:
1) The fighting styles continue to be a lot of fun. We added Dirty Fighting, so now you can throw sand in people's eyes, kidney punch them, and land blows below the belt.
2) Love, fear, and the other inspirations are used a lot more often now. Previously, in playtesting, a lot of people were "hoarding" their inspirations, just as people often hoard action points in other games. Now there are some mechanics that reward you for spending them and make hoarding pointless. Also, there are times when if you don't rely on an inspiration, then if you aren't an expert, your likelihood of success is vanishingly small.
3) The name of the nova class changed to Chosen One to more accurately reflect the Buffy/Sarah Pezzini/Kamag/Frodo influence of the class (an inheritor or discoverer of a magic item, spirit, bloodline, or other focused power source).
4) Magic styles had a major re-working. They needed to feel different than the melee fighting styles, and now they do. In combat, magic is about gathering dark energies and loosing them on the battlefield, whereas melee styles are about reading your opponent and countering his maneuvers with your own.
5) The dialogue system was working out so well that we've expanded it to include all social encounters. It still feels like "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" in a lot of cases - but it's not always comedy.
